Website Redesign

Website Redesign Services

Website
Redesign.

A website that reflects
where your business is now.

For established businesses whose current site no longer fits. We rethink structure, content, usability and functionality around what your customers and team need.

Keep what works. Improve what needs to change. Kettering · Northamptonshire · UK-wide

The starting point

Is your website
holding you back?

A website can still look presentable while creating problems for customers and your team.

.01 Your services have changed, but the website still tells the old story.
.02 Visitors have to work too hard to find the right information or make an enquiry.
.03 Routine updates feel complicated, so important content stays out of date.
.04 Your current platform cannot comfortably support the functionality or integrations you need.
.05 Pages have accumulated over time, leaving navigation and service information unclear.

A full rebuild is not always the answer. Assessing the current site helps establish what to retain, improve or replace — and where the work will be most useful.

Relevant project evidence

Different businesses.
Different requirements.

Two examples of our website work: a redesign for Church Farm Lodge, and bespoke WordPress functionality for Ashfield Services.

Church Farm Lodge website project

.01 / Church Farm Lodge

Hospitality · Website redesign & wider digital work

Church Farm Lodge

For this Northamptonshire hotel and bed and breakfast, ForgeFlare delivered a complete website redesign as part of wider work spanning commercial photography, video and digital marketing. The website’s objectives included clearer accommodation presentation, improved usability and support for direct bookings.

The project demonstrates how a replacement website can sit alongside visual content and ongoing marketing.

Healthcare training · Bespoke WordPress functionality

Ashfield Services

Ashfield needed to manage a large, expanding catalogue of healthcare training courses. ForgeFlare designed and developed a bespoke WordPress website with custom course management, advanced filtering, responsive layouts and an intuitive content management system.

This project shows the technical capability available when a website needs to organise complex information and support day-to-day administration.

The agreed scope

Built around
what you need.

The scope is agreed around your existing website, business priorities and available content.

Core website work can cover the following. Additional services are specified in the proposal.

Structure and navigation

Plan how pages fit together and how customers find the information they need. Agree which pages to retain, combine, add or retire.

Content planning and clearer service information

Identify gaps, organise your services and establish what each page needs to communicate. Agree who supplies, writes, edits and approves the content.

Bespoke responsive design

Design around your brand and audience, with readable layouts and useful information across desktop, tablet and mobile.

WordPress development and enquiry journeys

Build the agreed website and suitable functionality, with clear calls to action and practical routes to enquiry. Plan how your team will manage the finished content.

Review, testing and handover

Review the pages together, test the agreed functionality and prepare the site for launch. Confirm handover requirements and any ongoing support in the proposal.

Optional / separately scoped

Additional work, where required

Integrations, bespoke applications, booking or course-management features, photography, video and more extensive content production are scoped separately where needed. Analytics and tracking requirements should also be agreed: which actions matter, which tools are used and what setup or reporting is included.

SEO, digital marketing, hosting and ongoing support can form part of a wider engagement. They are not assumed to be included in every redesign.

A considered transition

Keep what
already works.

Useful content. Established URLs. Existing search visibility.

Your existing website may contain useful content, established URLs and pages that already attract relevant visitors. Before changing them, it is important to assess what is worth retaining, including search visibility and backlinks pointing to the site.

Where URLs need to change, we agree the migration work with you. This can include mapping old pages to suitable new destinations, implementing appropriate redirects and checking key pages, links, indexing settings and tracking at launch.

Search visibility can change when a website is replaced. Careful planning helps manage that transition, but rankings cannot be guaranteed to remain unchanged or automatically improve. The level of SEO assessment and post-launch monitoring belongs in the agreed scope.

From assessment to handover

A clear process.
Shared decisions.

Agree the priorities, content responsibilities and technical requirements before moving ahead.

.01

Understand and assess

Discuss your business, customers and objectives, then assess the current website and the problems you want to resolve.

.02

Agree priorities and scope

Define the pages, functionality, migration requirements and content responsibilities. Make the important decisions before design and development move ahead.

.03

Plan the structure and design

Organise the content and develop a design direction that reflects your business and makes the next step clear for visitors.

.04

Build, review and test

Develop the agreed website, gather your feedback and check layouts, links and functionality across relevant devices.

.05

Launch and hand over

Coordinate the agreed launch checks and migration work, hand over the site and confirm the support arrangements you need next.

Excerpt from the published client testimonial

Direct collaboration

Work directly with the person responsible for your project. We discuss the choices, explain the technical implications and keep decisions connected to what your business needs.

Technical capability with a practical purpose

Ashfield’s custom course management and filtering demonstrate our ability to build beyond a brochure website. Where an existing site needs more capable functionality, we can explore the right approach with you.

A website connected to the wider picture

Our work spans websites, digital marketing, photography, video and business automation. Church Farm Lodge demonstrates how these services can work together when the project calls for them.

Based in Kettering, we work with businesses across Northamptonshire and the UK.

Investment & practical questions

The right scope.
A clear proposal.

The cost of a website redesign depends on the number of pages, the condition and readiness of the content, the functionality and integrations required, and the complexity of moving from the existing site. A focused refresh and a substantial rebuild involve different amounts of work.

Share your current website and priorities with us. We can discuss the options and define a proposal with a clear scope, content responsibilities and any additional services.

Do we need a full rebuild?

Not necessarily. If the current platform and structure are suitable, targeted improvements may be enough. We assess the website and your requirements before recommending whether to improve what you have or replace it.

Can we retain useful content and existing URLs?

Yes, retaining useful material and URLs can be part of the plan. We review which pages still serve a purpose and agree any changes. If a URL must change, mapping and appropriate redirects are scoped with the migration work.

What happens to our search visibility?

A redesign can affect search visibility, particularly when content, URLs or technical settings change. We agree the SEO assessment, migration checks and any monitoring required. No proposal should assume rankings will stay the same or automatically improve.

Who supplies the content and photography?

We agree this before the project begins. You may have useful copy and images already, or need help planning and producing new material. ForgeFlare provides photography and video; any content production or visual work needed for the redesign is specified in the proposal.

Can we update the finished website ourselves?

WordPress can give your team a practical way to manage website content. We plan the editing requirements around the pages and functionality you need, and agree the handover or training included. Ashfield’s course-management website is one example of a system developed for ongoing administration.

What support is available after launch?

ForgeFlare offers ongoing website support and wider digital marketing services. The support you need, hosting, access and ownership arrangements, maintenance responsibilities and any associated costs are agreed in the proposal. There is no assumed support package attached to every redesign.
